Committee to Consider Ban on Use of Double Deckers to Transport Horses
Update Jan. 30, 2012: Though the Horse Transportation Safety Act as discussed in Animal Law Coalition's original report below, remains pending, a Congressional committee, is set to consider a ban on use of double decked trailers to transport horses as part of the surface transportation reform provisions of the American Energy & Infrastructure Jobs Act (H.R. 7 Sec. 6606). The House of Representatives Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure is set to consider the bill this Thursday, Feb.
