I need a reference that can

I need a reference that can tell me what is "animal cruelty" in the eyes of the law.
And if I have evidence of someone committing animal cruelty, who can immediately enforce the law, and take the dogs?

Animal Cruelty

This is for Bill # H.B. 1690 ( Why is this Bill still pending? I have my self heard and reported 2 times animal cruelty going on as a matter of fact this person killed the dog or quote dogs. I live in Wake County N. C. People who kill and abuse dogs cats do the same to there family. Can you even grab in your mind what there children were thinking when this happen and yes there are children involved too 100 % of the time. Please stop holding up this Bill and pass it through before more animals or even people die. We put you in there to help protect them and others too. Stop pending and make it a law for Animal Abuse. Thank you. Joy

Animal Cruelty

I am TOTALLY in favor of anyone committed of the crime of cruelty to an animal serving jail time. A fine, slap on the wrist, probation, etc. does not compute to the offender just how serious such an act is. If they get by with cruelty to an animal, what's next? A child, an elderly or handicapped person? Cruelty to anything is just a show of control, domination, and heartlessness. Any such person who is capable of such actions should, at the very least be committed to a facility for mental health evaluation and therapy. There is something wrong, either mentally or morally with someone who can willfully abuse an animal and the problem should be addressed and dealt with in such a manner that the offender understand that the act will not be tolerated. I vote in every election and take my vote seriously and with much prayer and thought. I do not take for granted the blessing of being able to vote and I hope that all of our NC senators will pass the Susie Law.
Thank you for your kind attention.
Respectfully,
Sherry Durham
